You can become a full member with meeting attendance rights and a vote or an associate member with all rights except weekly meeting attendance and online voting.
Joining the online Southern Junto in order to read content and comment as a guest is not necessary although we do encourage you to do so.
However there are some requirements in order to join. You will be asked to supply your actual name, and a valid email address although you may choose to post under a screen name.
You will also have to pledge that you :
- Have no particular disrespect to any current Southern Junto members
- Sincerely declare that you love mankind in general, regardless of race, religion, creed or ethnic origin.
- Do not think any person ought to be harmed in his/her body, name, or goods, for mere speculative opinions, or his/her external way of worship.
- Love truth for truth’s sake, and will endeavor impartially to find and receive it yourself, and communicate it to others.
- Will avoid personal attacks upon other members or commenting guests.
- Will not use profane language.
- Will avoid stating any presumption of other members’ motivations but if curious you will politely ask them same.
- Will avoid creating Straw Man arguments.
- Will never make threats of any kind against a member whether they are physical threats or threats to cause humiliation or emotional harm.
- Will not post internet hyperlinks to any site that might contain malicious code or threatening or obscene content.
- Will not create cliques or factions within the Southern Junto for the purpose of suppressing opinions, defaming or harassing other individuals, or denying access to other individuals.
- Will not advocate or incite the breaking of any law to which another member or members may be subject.

All aspiring members must agree to the above terms. If a member wishes to become a full voting member and:
- Participate in Online Weekly Meeting Users’ Groups
- Participate in Online Socratic Circle Users’ Groups
- Create and submit Online courses
- Utilize Project Management Tools
then they must:
- Pledge to complete a free offered online Philadelphia Junto History course.
- Pledge to complete a free offered online Socratic Method course.
